LORI L. OVERLAND, MS, CCC-SLP, C/NDT, CLC, FOM - SPEAKER
Lori Overland is a licensed speech and language pathologist with her neurodevelopmental certification and certificate as a lactation counselor as well as having a fellowship in orofacial myology.
Lori specializes in oral sensory-motor/feeding therapy, oral placement and orofacial myofunctional disorders in children. HEr private practice focuses on infants, toddlers and preschool children with oral sensory-motor/feeding disorders. Lori
consults with children from all over the world providing evaluations, re-evaluations, program plans and week long, family-centered feeding therapy
programs.
Lori has teamed up with Robyn Merkel-Walsh M.A., CCC-SLP/COM to provide mentoring services through Mouthes in Motion Mentoring.
In addition to her private practice, Alphabet Soup, Lori is a member of the TalkToolsĀ® speakersā€™ bureau. Lori has lectured on sensory-motor/feeding disorders around the United States and internationally. Lori was accepted, multiple times, to present poster and live presentations on a sensory-motor approach to feeding, self-limited diets, tethered oral tissue, and complementary feeding at the annual convention of the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association.
Lori is a member of ASHA, CSHA, LISHA, NYSSLHA, the IAOM, ICAP, a board member of the oral motor institute and a Breathe Institute Ambassador. Lori holds degrees from Hofstra University and Adelphia University.
