I’m a licensed speech-language pathologist with a certificate of clinical competence (CCC-SLP).
I completed a Residency in Orofacial Pain in January 2022, and I’m qualified in Dental Sleep Disorders since May 2016, both at the White Memorial Craniofacial Pain/TMJ Clinic in Los Angeles, CA. I’m a Fellow of the breathing re-education Buteyko Professionals International since 2018. I worked for about 20 years at OPICA Adult Day Care and Counseling Center in Los Angeles, where I still volunteer today, and for almost 20 years I’ve worked at the Marylin Hilton Multiple Sclerosis Achievement Center at UCLA. I worked in private practice until 2017 and I’m still teaching courses on topics related to myofunctional sciences, nationally and internationally
Co-founded the Academy of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (AOMT), for which I’m still an Advisor. Founder President of the Academy of Applied Myofunctional Sciences (AAMS), a non-profit international organization. Former President of the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM), for which I was Congress, Ethics, Marketing & CEU Chair for years.
I wrote many peer reviewed articles; presented at well over 50 meetings; co-wrote two books; participated at the validation process of two evaluation protocols; peer-reviewed over 30 articles. Received several professional awards.
